When I See

The coming of spring.

When I see apple blossoms
burst forth
in sudden brilliance and perfume

When I see their pastel petals unfurl
and flutter in cool spring breezes

When I see shafts of sunlight
touching the earth once more

When I hear robins singing again
then I will know

spring is arriving
coming silently on warmer winds
