Creature Of The Damned

Creature Of The Damned

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

In a vampire's voice.

"

Along the shores of Paraguay

I dance upon the damp yellow sands

The blood red moon hangs low

         In Brazil’s night sky

Darting about like midnight birds

    Bats chitter and fly

I haunt the capital city Asuncion

         My blood thirst drives me

I fear the mindlessness of it all

          Stalking amongst the prostitutes

Dark eyed dark haired women selling their bodies

With their pimp drug pushing handlers

Easy pickings - Ever eager

My blonde hair and blue eyes

My speech of an American

Come down from the United States

Do they know Oregon?

My laugh is soft - Seductive

I open my arms to these dark skinned men

They are eager to try me

I am jewel to them

I lead them to the yellow beaches of Paraguay

Where they believe they will have their way

But the act of sex that I promise

                        Leads to my violent attack

I savage them - I take their blood

              I murder them

In the greatest - Most pleasurable

Act of ecstasy they will ever know

They died - So I might live

For I am Creature of the Damned

I am desperate for love

But Death is all that life does give

Nice job on this vampire tale, very dark and vicious, like vampires use to be.

I enjoyed this read and got a giggle out of the Oregon part, though
I've never been there; I can imagine!
