Day Walker Of AtacamaA Poem by Tina KlineFrom the vampire's point of view.It was burning Hot The sun like chipped glass Blazing away all life Across Atacama Where I wandered Day Walker This desert in North Chile A scattering of Jack Rabbits Desert Wolves Slinking beneath dried yet alive foliage False water glistened And I walked In leather sandals In a long brown tunic Tied with a blood red sash Until I came upon a tent Crafted of animal hide Within " Sleeping Latin American man Dreaming his erotic sex dreams Of a blonde blue eyed woman Pleasing him to orgasm Smiling I crept inside Crept into his arms Sighing - He pulled me close Ready to claim me " Phantom Lover When I claimed him In the most ecstatic embrace He ever had Or ever would again Atacama surged in his crimson tide And I rose To walk away Warm as the desert And very satisfied!
