Egyptian VampireA Poem by Tina KlineHe thought he was a Desert Sheik A prince of the Ever Shifting Sands Walking across With his spitting camel at hand The daytime sun was hot Burning ripples across his skin He was soon criss crossed with scars Tracery of his Dark Sins At sunset he pitched his tent It flapped in the night winds He dreams of an Oasis Where a woman’s love he’d win But it was just the endless screaming dark That he awoke to again and again Then on the soft night breeze Leather velvety wings soon arrived Dropping through the tent flap With their sighs and sweet caresses He dreamed he was making love They bit his body everywhere Draining his crimson blood As he sighed in dream ecstasy They drained every last drop Night after night his fantasy They drained away his life Sheik - Egyptian Prince of the Desert Soon left his spitting camel and his tent Left the life had behind To wing out over the hot desert night His new life as vampire to find © 2010 Tina KlineReviews
