Chapter 7

Chapter 7

A Chapter by Tina Kline
"

Louise experiences the thrill of killing humans again as they take out two of the humans who killed several Wolf People.

"

I looked at Mr. Black. He had a pleased look on his face. Mr. Brown and Mr. Forest looked at Mr. Black as well. We were all waiting.

I smiled. Mr. Brown and Mr. Forest smiled. We were eager for the word go.

With our sunglasses shielding our identity from the humans Mr. Black gave us the go ahead we were so eagerly waiting for.

“Okay.” He said. “Let’s go get them.”

We crossed the street as a group and approached the apartment building. I felt we probably stood out a little with us all wearing sunglasses and walking with determination toward this building but perhaps not. It was sunny after all but no humans dared challenge us.

We went up the concrete steps to the door. Mr. Black reached for the door handle. It was, of course, locked.

Mr. Black flashed his canine fanged grin and closed his hand over the door handle and turned it.

We all heard the grating of metal and a ripping sound. It wasn’t loud. No humans could have heard it but we werewolves could.

Mr. Black pulled open the now damaged door and with grins of anticipation we glided inside the building.

This was a higher class apartment building and smelled half way decent. But it did have plenty of unpleasant human smells floating about the hall.

But we concentrated on the scent trail of our prey and werewolf traitor.

We glided down the hall to a set of stairs to the next level. There was an elevator but we all decided not to take it.

We flowed up the stairs to the second floor. Our targets weren’t here.

Quickly we made our way to the third floor.

Mixed with all the unpleasant smells of humans living all together were the scents of our targets strongly coiling about.

“That way.” I pointed down the hall.

Mr. Brown and Mr. Forest nodded.

“Let’s go.” Mr. Black said. “Our Wolf Person traitor might quickly pick up on us. Let’s hope he’s being lazy with over confidence.”

    We went down the hall.

A human woman was coming toward us from the opposite direction.

I picked up the scent of her fear as she looked at us approaching her.

    We ignored her.

She ignored us. Her relief was obvious as she went by us and nothing happened.

I wanted to chuckle. I’d love to tear her apart and eat her but our targets were just a few feet away from us.

I could hear TVs, radios, computers, phones, sex, talking and fighting coming from the apartments we passed.

    Human noise pollution.

It was hard for me to believe I use to live in this sort of environment. I felt a shudder ripple through my body. The Wolf People World was much more pleasant.

Mr. Black stopped in front of a door that had the number 40 on it. He looked at us and removed his sunglasses. “Ready?”

    We all removed our sunglasses.

I could smell our two humans in there and the werewolf traitor.

    “I am.” I said.

“I’m ready.” Mr. Brown tucked away his sunglasses.

“I’m ready.” Mr. Forest said. He stuck his sunglasses in his pocket.

Mr. Black turned toward the door and reached for the door knob.

    We listened.

There were no sounds coming from within that those we were hunting were aware their deaths lurked just outside their door.

Mr. Black closed his hand on the door knob and turned it. It broke with a soft sound. And it broke a lot easier than the outside door to the building had.

We flowed inside, eager and ready for the kill.

They weren’t even aware we had entered the building, not even the werewolf traitor.

They sure were lazy with over confidence. And they would now pay the price for that laziness.

They were so confident and comfortable believing they had gotten away with their slaughter that they had been sitting at a small kitchen table in the kitchen of the apartment eating a meal totally unaware we were coming.

When we entered the room a couple seconds after breaking in they were all standing up.

    Stunned.

“Hey!” One of the human males shouted. “What are you doing?”

    “Oh no!” cried the traitor.

“What?” the other human asked in a loud voice.

“Who are they?” asked the first man. He lunged like he was going for a weapon.

    “Retribution.” said the werewolf.

I growled, showing my canines. Then I shape shifted. Mr. Brown and Mr. Forest shape shifted beside me. Only Mr. Black didn’t. The traitor was his target.

I heard the horrified screams and shouts from the humans as they saw us turn into huge snarling red eyed wolves right before their eyes. They couldn’t help but guess what we were, the way werewolves were always appearing in movies and TV shows in the human world. We were the werewolves of human myth and legend.

Their terrified cries excited me. I wasn’t interested in what they were saying. I only heard their fear and that made me even hungrier for their flesh and blood. Made me even hungrier for their lives.

I surged forward and knocked a human to the floor, my jaws closing over his throat, my large paws on his chest holding him down. His struggling made the coming feast all the more enjoyable.

I snarled and snapped my jaws and tore out his throat, his blood pumped into my mouth.

I was in heaven. I drank his blood and ripped his flesh from his dying body and swallowed the chunks whole. My body was humming with excitement! This freshly killed raw human flesh still warm and pulsing with life was the sweetest, most wonderful food I had ever tasted. I ate and ate. Ripping and tearing chunks from the body and swallowing them. The internal organs were like ambrosia to me.

I was aware of Mr. Brown and Mr. Forest eating their victim.

The only sounds in the room were of slurping, chewing, tearing, ripping, swallowing and lapping as we consumed the bodies of the two humans. The room smelled heavily of blood, raw human flesh and death.

The three of us easily ate the humans quickly. There was nothing left when we were done. We cleaned up every drop. Only a very thorough inspection of the room would reveal any evidence that a couple killings had occurred here. We left nothing to give ourselves away to any humans looking about in here.

When we were finished eating we shape shifted back to our human forms. We were in such wonderful moods as we finished cleaning up any remaining blood splatters or gore left on the floor or walls and stuffed our meal’s clothes in plastic grocery bags. Then we washed up at the kitchen sink, cleaning our faces and hands. I had some gore in my hair and I cleaned that out.

With our werewolf noses we had no problem detecting any trace of bodily fluid we might have missed with our werewolf eyes. The kitchen was spotless.

    Then we were finally done.

Mr. Black was waiting in the living room with the werewolf traitor.

As we entered the living room we were all amused to see the terror on the traitor’s face.

I laughed. I was feeling so wonderful! This unknown Wolf Person wasn’t going to be having such a good time when he got back to the Wolf People World and faced not one but two angry Packs!

He had good reason to look terrified. And it was his own stupid fault!

Now that was brutal but Louise and her Wolf People enjoyed it. Revenge is always sweet, I think.

Awesome Chapter. You didn't go to in detail about the ripping apart of the bodies which for me is fine. lol. I really want to know more about the traitor and what was his motives. On to the next chapter.
