Shadows In The Night

Shadows In The Night

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

A vampire's love song for a lover.

"

Shadows in the night.

Voices calling

echoing in the dark places.

Voices calling me to you.

Voices calling you to me.

Crying out our lonely misery.

Echoing for eternity.

Shadows in the night.

Voices calling

seeking out the darker places.

Me seeking you.

You seeking me.

Seeking to end our lonely misery.

Seeking for eternity.

Shadows in the night.

Voices calling

here in the moonsplashed light.

Exposing the darker places.

Exposing me to you.

Exposing you to me.

Finally ending our lonely misery.

Ending it for all eternity.

Hello there. I really like this poem. It has a nice pace to it. I also love how it incorporates the title in so many lines like an echo. You have some serious talent. You deserve more appeal 'cause you're pretty good! I look forward to more from you.

I would also like to point out that I love the tone of this piece. Fantastic write!

The chilling call of needy creatures; a romance of, perhaps, dangerous shadowy beings--or, maybe, just a lonely couple of folks who delight in the spooky.
Powerful and well dramatized!

Thanks a lot!!
Like wolves howling to eachother across the vast open wilderness of the night !

Wonderfully atmospheric and appropriately chilling !

Thank you very much.
A beautiful and haunting poem. Even immortals get lonely and need love and companionship. Amazing write, it has a nice sound quality to it.

Enjoyed reading this one this morning..Very interestingly put together..Reads like perfect match of love found..I am glad that I chose this one to read today..Thanks for the kind review of my work..I was just thinking about the situation in Japan and how that plume of radioactive material could go anywhere in the world..Our leaders at the time of WWII did what they thought best and I am sure they did not really know the end results of those bombs..Then people thought that they was the bombs that would end all wars but it hasn't happened..Sunflower

We are only whole when we accept our shadows...this feels like self discovery, a being made out of both lightness and darkness finally becoming whole.

shadows and whispers in the night - they hold secrets and mystery - I love "moonsplashed light" - the repeating first words - the "exposing", "seeking" etc - give it this sense of urgency almost! nice!

I love the repeated refrain of the title running through it. Fantastic.

What a dark but romantic piece. A little twist on purity. Very cute and I do love the use of the Shadows in the night. A great write, and read.

Thank you for sharing this Tina.

With Love,

Jaidyn
