Swiftly flowing rivers Going on their own adventures Dare I spread my wings and fly? Follow the pathways nature presents? Dare I break free from my life And go places I've never been? New lands on foreign shores? I long to break free from my comforts Let go of all the things I own Set sail on the river by my home And go, go on this once in a lifetime trip A trip to turn into the rest of my life Yes, my wings ache to unfurl As I stand on the shore and dream I decide and open my wings wide Yes! Yes! I leave behind my life I lift off and follow the river Making its way to somewhere A place I've never been I smile, my heart soars as I do Life is exciting once again And I am so glad, so very glad That I chose to set myself free And start on this new life As I embark on this grand journey
