Storm Watch

Storm Watch

A Poem by Tina Kline

 from off the mountains
darkness arriving
a flash of lightning
the loud rumble of thunder
rolling from one part of the sky
to the other
a slight cool breeze
a startled cry of a robin
the neighborhood dogs
start up a chorus
of barking
night descending
as the summer thunderstorm
moves over the town

A beautifully painted word picture of an approaching storm. Your descriptions bring the storm to life for the reader. I could almost feel it as I sat at my laptop reading this. Amazing and wonderful storm poem. I love the photo included too!
