Her DestinyA Poem by Tina KlineFor the Creative Poetry group.
Femininity was her prize golden haired a falcon at her side abandoned and seeking shelter hoping for something better she, her horse and her falcon rode slowly across the sunny meadow heat radiating skyward tears in her blue eyes her falcon cried into the winds her piercing voice ferocious how provocative for her as she rode into the valley meaning to use her female charms when she'd never had to before fear ate at her but she'd not surrender blue eyes forward calling on her strength she eyed the factory hung in the distance black smoke swirling from many chimneys black clouds dominating the skyline determined she rode onward certain femininity was her ticket out her smile faded as she approached the moment was fluid now she had to be brave she had to keep her pride and she continued onward hoping her femininity won her a better destiny
