It Calls

It Calls

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

A paranormal horror poem.

"
It calls
The essence of life
Flowing from severed veins
Splashes of crimson
Spill into eager fanged mouths

Lakes of blood
The undead gather
They bathe
A crimson baptism
Their endless thirst
has given birth
to a red tide of certain death

The living have no chance
Their blood feeds death
Endless rivers of blood
Flowing into the undead
lapping it all up
The source will die
The veins will close
Transformation

The nightmare goes on
Skinny pale fanged creatures
Hunting the day
Hunting the night
Hunting for eternity

There is no hope for humanity
You cannot kill what is already dead
No, you cannot kill a true immortal
Pray to God
If you still believe
At least then your immortal soul
might stay free

Ah yes, the thirst, the blood, how it calls to them. Ever present, undeniable, the black pit that is the essence of hunger unending. It is something every one of the undead feels, something they can never escape.

You portrayed it well here. The poem was a very enjoyable read and I feel myself inspired. I think I too shall create something about the thirst.

Thank you much for sharing this delectable piece.

Chilling. A lethal view of one of man kinds predators that so many like to make into sexy hero's and such but I enjoy them that way as well. An awesome horror poem!

Very cold and chilling. These are the deadly cold uncaring vampires. They charm one unto death. Yes, and you can't kill what is already dead. Meowsome poem!

Richly rewarding to the imagination and powerful enough to pull at the lightest heart's strings. :)

Frightening and eerie. Deeply chilling. A different sort of vampire poem than most. I like it. No loving and caring blood suckers here!

A deeply chilling poem. There is no real violence in this yet the threat of violence and the strong suggestion of violence is there. The descriptions are amazing and only help to heightened the chilling fear and dread in the poem.

A gripping, dark flow of thought that moves over the mind in shadows. What a stark view of days and nights... and a hunger that cannot be satisfied.
