I Think Not

I Think Not

A Poem by Tinamac
"

A poem I wrote to express my unreturned love for another.

"

I Think Not

Is there a way to impose upon you a picture?

Yes, a picture of my heart.

One that spans the oceans.

Do you have a wall large enough to hold it?

I think not.

You are but a man, unable to fathom.

As you are keen to report my shortcomings,

Could you retort my true feelings?

I think not.

Is there a way for you to impose upon my time?

Yes, a fact, be still my heart.

One that beats for you.

Do you have a heart large enough to hold this?

I think not.

You are but a man, unable to fathom.

A space that breathes just for you.

Could you fill me with picutres of you?

I think not.

Is it possible for a flower to grow in the wilderness?

Yes, a meadow, with green grass flowing.

Under the currents of the wind.

Have you seen it?

I think not.

You are but a man, unable to see past you,

A woman who loves you true.
