Promise Me Forever

This is the first song i've ever written. I know it needs some work. It would help if you guys gave me some tips.

I remember the first time we met we were children 

playing games and laughing

Now we're still together

promising each other 

forever...

we started in the dark 

A broken past

now we'e shinning bright

We promised to stay together

Now we're dreaming

dream of a life where we're together

Promise me we'll be alright 

And i'll promise to never forget you

I can't believe how much time has gone by

I'll be here when you need a place to call home

 I'll be your shoulder to cry on

Promise you'll be ok

And i'll be there for you

When things get tough

promise me forever

and i'll promise you the moon....

Promise me you'll be alright

Promise me we'll be together forever.
