ChoicesA Story by Tina H.W.A short story about one man and a life -changing choice he must make...
Adam slipped his tongue across his dry lips. He would have to make a decision. And quickly. People were getting impatient; he could feel their twitchiness, which only made his nervous thought patterns waver even more. Small sweat beads popped on his temples. He felt someone's finger jab the small of his back sharply. He bit his lip and looked around at the sea of angry, impatient faces before his eyes met pleadingly with the unsmiling, well-built man in front of him, hoping for help which evidently wasn't coming.
He cocked an eyebrow at Adam. "Well, you decided?" "I-I..." "Yeah...?" Adam could hear the deafening sound of his blood racing through his veins. His stomach churned. What if he made the wrong choice? Think, Adam. Think. Think! He didn't know what to do! "Look, I ain't got all day and neither have this lot," the man in front of Adam said, jerking a finger at the growing number of people. "So, what's it gonna be Sunshine? You gonna have fries with that cheeseburger or not?!" © 2016 Tina H.W.Featured Review
