Sordid Love

Sordid Love

A Poem by Tina

Sordid lovers
Starry night
I'm your "Bonnie"
You're my "Clyde"

We fell in love on a rainy night
We see the world
through each other's eyes

With mixed emotions
I gave you time
But you came back
I'm your ride or die

The clock stops ticking
My heart stops beating
When you're around
Baby just listen, don't make a sound

I am your girl
And you my man
Baby I love you
You are my world.

love the Bonnie and Clyde metaphor here...just hope this love doesn't end as violently as theirs.
what was it Friar Lawrence said in Romeo and Juliet..."Violent means lead to violent ends" or something like that.
really well done, and precise.

Liked very much the spare delivery and the matter of fact presentation. The woman is committed, and that is that. I wouldn't cross her.
