Ch. 22: On The Lam

Ch. 22: On The Lam

A Chapter by Tina Bee
"

Betrayal is an ugly thing.

"

"Kimmi," I heard Daisy say breathlessly when she saw it was me.

Kimmi turned around and looked shocked, but then an evil smirk formed on her face.

"Well, well if it isn't the w***e of Pinewood Acres" Kimmi said.

Now people were hushing up and looking.

"And if it isn't the s**t of the trailer park. Tell me again Kimmi is your step daddy still touching you in places he shouldn't while your mama is passed out on the sofa from another bottle of Scotch?" I asked.

That comment got oohs and ahhh's out of the crowd.

"You stupid b***h," Kimmi said trying to approach me, but her date pulled her back.

"She's not worth it," he said.

"She sure isn't worth much," Daisy piped up.

"What the f**k did you just say?" I asked looking at Daisy who cowered by her date trying to look away.

"Look we don't want any trouble," Kimmi's date told me.

I moved closer to Daisy and her date. The two of them stood there motionless as Kimmi's date spoke.

"Well maybe I do," I said.

I let go of Greg's hand and in one swift move I stepped up to Daisy and socked her dead in the face.

Blood came gushing out of her nose. She almost fell to the ground, but her date caught her.

"Hey none of that! I'm calling the cops!" the lady behind the counter screamed.

"You want some too?" I asked looking at her with wild eyes.

The woman met my glare and immediately closed the window. Then I turned to Daisy who's date had let go of her hand and who was running back to the SUV.

"You can talk real big on the Internet so you better stay here and take this a*s whooping like a lady," I said, but before I could wind my fist back Greg was pulling me.

"Sirens, Myra we have to get out of here!" Greg screamed.

In my confusion I had let my attention be diverted. Kimmi hit me on the side of my face with an open hand. I grabbed her hair and started yanking her everywhere. To my shock Daisy jumped in and bit me on my forehead. I close fist punched her in the throat and she stumbled back gasping for air. I was still swinging Kimmi around and muttering profanities under my breath. I could see Daisy clutching her throat and going red.

"Oh my God she can't breathe!" people in the drive thru screamed and a lady jumped out her car to assist Daisy.

Kimmi socked me in my stomach and I lost my balance and went crashing down to the ground and hitting my head on the pavement. Luckily most of the fall was softened by my ponytail and I wasn't knocked unconscious. Kimmi was on me trying to swing on my face, but I grabbed her leg and flipped her over. I was able to get to my feet and kicked her in her back. She let out a wail so loud that the kids piling into the SUV stopped to watch in horror.

"You stop it! You stop it, you!" the woman helping Daisy screamed at me.

"Go f**k you yourself!" I screamed at her.

A man was rushing up to the woman and he was on his phone most likely with the police.

"Stop it! Stop it!" Kimmi screamed.

"Talk that s**t now!" I screamed over her.

By now the blood was everywhere and that's what brought me out of my fog. Suddenly I could hear the sirens too and a helicopter coming. I looked and didn't see Greg's car immediately and I grew panicked and so I stepped right into the blood and slipped. I spun around and saw Greg on the side of the road screaming for me and I bolted out of there. I wasn't sure if anyone was chasing after me so I ripped the door open and hopped in. It sounded like the police were just around the corner.

Apparently Greg knew the area because we escaped from there without not even a blue light flashing behind us.

"I'm sorry" I kept saying over and over, but Greg kept his stare on the road.

We drove in silence and this time I was sobbing and repeating gibberish to myself. I didn't know where we were going, but Greg kept driving. Soon we were out of the city limits and the road was dark. We kept driving for another 45 minutes until the lights got brighter and I knew we were far gone from the city. Greg pulled over on a deserted street and turned the car off. We sat in silence with the only noise being my sniffling for another fifteen minutes. Finally Greg spoke.

"You committed assault. You took the first swing. They'll be looking for you. They'll search your house and my house if any of them recognized me and then it's over. I'll be an accomplice. I won't get into Columbia with a record," Greg said in the weirdest voice ever.

"No you didn't do anything!" I said.

"Yes I did. I drove you there and I could've driven off once I knew your intentions," Greg said.

"I didn't tell you what I was going to do because not even I knew what I was going to do," I said.

"Doesn't matter. By now my parents are up wondering why I never returned from your house. It's after eleven PM and my mom worries," Greg said.

"Call her," I told him.

"And say what? That I've runaway with you?" Greg asked.

"We aren't running away," I said.

"We're not in the city. I didn't drive you home or to the police station so technically we've runaway," Greg said.

"Oh God," I said opening my door and stumbling out.

Before I knew it I was throwing up all on the side of the road. It wouldn't stop. I just kept going.

"You probably crushed her trachea," Greg said suddenly standing at the front of the car.

"What?" I asked.

"Daisy, you socked her in the throat and you could've crushed her trachea. That's why she couldn't breathe," Greg explained.

"Well won't she be ok?" I asked.

"No most of time crushed trachea's cause death," Greg said.

This induced more vomiting. When I finally stopped Greg handed me a bottle of water and I used it to rinse my mouth out.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"If she dies you'll go down for murder one and I'll be your accomplice since I took you out of city limits," Greg said.

"Can we just go home?" I asked.

"They'll arrest you," Greg said.

"I'm a minor. My mom has to sign me away and she'd never do that," I said.

"You're in the system Myra. This is your second offense. Most judges won't look too kindly on that," Greg said.

My head was spinning.

"Please let me lie down in the back seat," I said.

Greg opened the door for me and I got in and laid down. I wasn't surprised that my eyes grew heavy and before I could think I was asleep. When I woke up I was breathing intensely and it was pitch black. I heard buzzing. What was that familiar buzzing? It was my phone. I fished it out my purse in the front seat where Greg sat sleeping straight up.

The phone buzzed in my hand and it was my house calling. In my delirium I answered.

"Myra, Myra my God you're alive. SHE'S ALIVE! Where's Gregory? Huh? Where is he? Please tell us you two are ok!" Mom said screeching into the phone.

"We're fine, just tired," I said.

"They're in moderate condition at the hospital," Mom said.

"What?" I asked.

"Kimmi and Daisy," Mom said.

"Oh," I let out.

"Daisy almost...Daisy almost died!" Mom screamed.

Mom started babbling incoherently and someone took the phone.

"Hello, Myra," a male's voice said into the.

"Hi," I said.

"This is Sheriff Richard Tuckers. How are you?" He asked.

"Tired. My head hurts," I said.

"Oh it's been some night, huh? Why don't you just come home so your mama can have some relief?" he asked.

"I'm fine," I said.

"Now that won't calm your mama down. She's here in hysterics and you've got the Finster family here up in arms over their son and that car you two are in. Now you can come home peacefully or I can send my boys out to find you. Now the latter will make them angry and rough and you don't want that now do you?" Sheriff Tucker asked.

"No," I answered.

"Now put Gregory on the phone. His mama is scared for him too," Sheriff Tucker said calmly.

"Greg," I said nudging him.

"What?" Greg asked.

"It's your mom," I told him and he took the phone and began talking.

My back ached and my mouth was dry. I didn't feel like heaving anymore, but I was hungry. Greg hung up and handed me my phone. I looked at it and it was just passed three a.m.

"We have to head back," Greg said starting the car.

"Please, no," I said.

"No choice," Greg said.

"I can't go back there. I'm going to jail," I said.

"I know," Greg said as he started the car.

"I'm not going back just yet," I said and Greg turned and looked at me.

Even in this murkiness I could still make out his eyes. As Greg stared intensely at me a sudden way of emotion came over me. It didn't matter if I was aching or tired all I wanted to do was satisfy his hunger for me.

I leaned forward and grabbed Greg by the neck and started kissing him very hard. His foot released from the gas pedal and he turned into my kiss and jumped to the back. Soon Greg was on top of me. The car was still running, but we didn't care. Greg touched and kissed me in all the right places. Clothes went flying everywhere and soon he was deep inside of me screaming and calling out my name. The car rocked and bounced many times as I dug my nails into Greg's back moving into his thrusts. I was matching his screams until I felt my body float up and go limp. Greg kept going until he hit his climax and then he got up and I moved to sitting position.

"The car's still on," I said.

"That was good," Greg said.

"Maybe we should just head back," I said.

"Please, Myra," Greg said touching me in those places again.

I moved forward to take the keys out the ignition and Greg was all over me again and he was just as big as before. He thrusted in and out of my womanly place until I felt warmth heard a guttural moan.

"Greg, we need to go," I said as I sat in his lap the second time stroking his hair and sucking on his neck.

"This is too nice," Greg said.

"It's Heaven, but we need to leave," I said.

Greg made a quick move and had me on my back. This time he dove into me slower and then toward my climax he pushed faster until I screamed out with all mercy. Soon he was done and so was I.

I opened up the car door to find my clothing. My blue jeans had dark spatters on them and my shirt was wrinkled. I let my hair out of the already messed up ponytail and claimed into the front passenger side seat and began combing my hair out. Greg moved around in the back for awhile, but eventually he got into the driver's seat fully clothed with only a slight tousle to his short hair.

"We didn't use protection," Greg said.

"I know," I told him.

"You could get pregnant," Greg said.

"I know," I told him.

"That just wasn't smart. I can't be a father. I'm too young," Greg said.

"I'm not pregnant," I told Greg.

"If you are I'll be there. I'll take care of you and our child and I'll marry you. I swear I will," Greg said.

"Ok," I muttered as my eyelids went heavy again.

I was jolted out my sleep by the aggressive buzzing of my phone. I thought it was my house again, but it was a text.

"You stupid b***h. We're going to get you. We know where you live. You better not show you face around here again! Stay on the run, w***e!" it was from a number I didn't know.

"Who is that?" Greg asked.

"No one," I said and looked out the window.

Greg kept talking on and on until we were a block away from my house.

"They can't know what we did. My mom would kill me," Greg said.

"I'm not saying a thing", I told him.

"I know this is the wrong time, but I love you," Greg said.

"Oh God," I let out.

"You just confirmed your feelings for me too. We don't have to go back we can stay running," Greg said.

"Here,"  I said ignoring Greg, "drop me off at the corner and go park the car at your house. Then walk back and knock on my front door."

"We're going to be ok," Greg said.

I slammed the passenger door shut and shivered. Ahead of me the night was calm and the crickets were out playing a monotonous melody. I cut through the Johnson's yard as Greg drove past me. Up ahead four police cars and a vehicle I didn't recognize were outside my house parked alongside my driveway. Two armed officers were talking by their car. As Greg drove past they spun around to get a better look and were quickly on their walkie-talkies calling it in.

A third officer came down the driveway and scanned the car and the street. It was a female and she spotted me. The two male officers turned to see me approaching. My cell phone was buzzing and I took it out my pocket. It was home.

"Hello?" I answered.

"They're taking her! They're taking my baby. Myra don't worry I'll get you out by tonight I swear," Mom was crying into the phone.

"What?" I asked suddenly coming back from my dream land.

"We can't go out they won't let us!" Mom screamed.

The woman officer approached me quickly.

"Drop it!" She screamed.

"Drop what?" I asked.

"The phone!" She screamed again.

"Mom, they're yelling at me," I managed to say before the officer approached me and ripped the phone from my hand and knocked it to the pavement.

"Get on the ground," she said.

"That's a three hundred dollar phone!" I screamed in her face.

The lady cop was swift and she had me on the ground in cuffs because I could finish my rant. Blood filled my mouth and I was spitting everywhere and it was going down my neck. My head was spinning again.

"You have the right to remain silent..." was all I heard.

Everything went black from there.

I don't blame Myra for what she did but that kind of justice
just doesn't work in this world anymore. She is the one
who is going to keep suffering. Intense chapter.
The "mean people" always seem to get away with
it.

Holy Crap!!!! GO MYRA! I love it...and I don't blame her. I hate rumors, and People always want to spread them, I don't blame her at all for beating the life out of them 2 smart a*s girls! This goes to show that sometimes, the sweetest candies, can sometimes have the most bitter core! I can't believe Daisy betrayed Myra like that. Especially for Kimmie. Also, I love what happened between Myra and Greg. I love the awkwardness he shows afterwards, Too cute!!!
