The Day That Angel CameA Chapter by Timothy G. BrittonThis just poured from me onto paper within hours after my daughter was born.Time goes by so fast, a year gone in the wink of an eye. Today a child’s first words, only yesterday her first cry.
A man, a husband, a father, I have become. Not so long ago, a child, a boy, a son.
Tomorrow so much I have to do, to help find my way, only promises I made so long ago, a yesterday.
The responsibilities of an adult, I am still in constant search of, looking so desperately for answers, behind me, before me, and above.
Suddenly a grown up, with no place from the world to hide, for no matter how old I am on the outside, a child still exists inside.
Ignorantly through life I walked, no direction, no point of view. then along came my daughter, an Angel, that made my world brand new.
The things that once seemed so hidden suddenly became so very clear. the Love that I so desperately searched for, suddenly was right there.
Within a very instant, a blind man was given' sight, the day I was given to me an angel, to forever be my Guiding Light.
So now even though I still have many years to fall upon me, my life will never be quite the same, for I found within myself a life with complete purpose and meaning, the day that Angel came. Timothy G. Britton 1992 © 2022 Timothy G. BrittonAuthor's Note
