[untitled]A Poem by Timothy RawlingsAs I lay on the cool grass that moistens my back and cools my soul I stare up at the vastness of the night sky above. Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle The stars wink down at me, enticing me, daring me to try and remove them from their beds. One, Two, Three fall from their perch and I wish upon them. So many mysteries, so many wonders and amazing sites. Yet I am here stuck on a planet where the wonders are being destroyed everyday. My wish That the emptiness and beauty I can only glimpse at from afar Reamins unspoiled from mans greed and need to own everything.
