Outlaw

Outlaw

A Poem by Timothy
"

A poem to my wife explaining I can change what I do, but I can never change what I am.

"
A past of puncture, push and pull, bitter from the start
This young cowboy, drifting, drowning, black inside his heart
Have no pity for the city that drove me to this place
Need to feel the pain to put a smile upon my face
My self destructive life is slowly tearing it apart, leather on your lace

Faith, hope, love, integrity, honest as the son
Who gave it all for us having never drawn his gun
Music to all ears but that's not how the west was won

I wish to be the man you dream, the pistol you know I can
Forgive the booze, the blood, the spurs, the stiffness in my hand
I'm only human, please dont judas me
Take me as i am
