All Are Searching

 

I’m searching for you.

Don’t know what to do,

I’m crying over you,

Even though I don’t

Know who you are.,

 

You’re my lucky star

Though I don’t where you are.

You keep me going,

You keep me moving,

In the hopes that I’ll find you.

I’ll keep searching,

Don’t ever worry,

I’ll keep searching,

Until the day I find you.

And when I do succeed,

I’ll know it’s you,

When you look at me,

And you smile,

You’re perfect smile.

And then I’ll know.

 

You’re my better half,

You’re my other self,

You’re the keeper

Of my heart,

Which I’ve pledged to you,

Even though I don’t know you.

I’ll wait for you,

I’ll wait a thousand lifetimes.

Because I know,

I truly know,

That you’ll be waiting for me.

I truly know,

That you’re searching for me.

 

Do people wonder,

Why they wander,

Around the world

Waiting.

Searching.

Searching for nothing particular

That they consciously know.

Do they realize why they wander

Seemingly endlessly,

Without a set destination?

I guess it doesn’t really matter,

If they know it or not,

That their heart

Is leading them

To its other part.

Maybe it’s better this way

For some

That they know not

What brought them

To their soul’s mate.

 

Then there are the people

Like myself.

Who know

About their quest,

That search for miles,

For that person,

That’s destined to make them laugh.

 

I wonder if it’s better this way,

Some knowing,

Others not,

As long I guess,

That everyone is brought

Together in the end

It doesn’t matter

Who realized it all along

What they were searching for,

And who didn’t realize it

Until the very end.

 

But now I wonder,

If you know

About me

Consciously

Or if you only know me

In the corner of your mind,

In the depths of your heart,

In the center of your soul,

That you’re looking for me,

To make you whole.
