A Minute to Say

A Minute to Say

A Poem by Jessica Slatton

While you were gone I thought I’d take a minute to say how much you mean to me.

Your simple smile and the sound of your laugh fills my heart with love and glee.

The gentle caress of your hand on mine makes my heart soar and fly free.

The sudden gaze of your forbidden hues helped me see inside the soul of thee.

So now all that’s left is the dream of our life, just you and me
