The Heart Don’t Lie

The Heart Don’t Lie

A Poem by Jessica Slatton

My head upon my pillow
My eyes shout tight
Visions of you
my pure delight

To have thy lips upon my own
The taste of sweet heaven
To bring me home.

Im my arms is
where you should be
You must be my destiny.

I thought I knew what love could be
But there is much to learn
just you and me.

To touch
To feel
To make you mine
Oh how that would be so divine.

My lips caress your delicate skin
Aching
Needing
Just to get in.

A bleeding heart is what I have to give.
Without you I could not live.

So take my hand
And let it be
Just to have you hear with me

Warmth and Comfort
Is what I give
With you I can live.

Forever in my eyes
I will always see
The story of you and me

I love you today
I love you tomorrow
So much love hides my sorrow.

Trust me
Love me
Treat me right
Is all I ask of you tonight.

I give you my heart
For all to see
You forever belong to me
