Ten for One

Ten for One

A Poem by Noename
"

I just started typing.

"

Ten-reasons to walk away,
Nine-calls in the night, begging for my stay,
Eight- times I answer, saying it will be OK,
Seven- times she believes me, though she sounded grey
Six-hours later, I know what must be done,
Five- minutes it takes, to change and be on the run.
Four- things that pull me, opposite of my caller,
Three- lights I jump,  though it just makes me smaller,
Two- hours that pass, the sweat built on my head,
One- second it takes, for me to wake up panting in my bed.
