Life as Glass ( Second 1/3)

Life as Glass ( Second 1/3)

A Poem by Tim McGovern

The girls are sentimental
but squeamish of thorns
of impalement
in general

i am a target for boys
BB guns and slingshots
take down the weakest of things
and leave it lie
move on
move on

I plead to the girls
to touch me
redeem me
take me out
of the familiar

I am worth a nickle
everyone is worth at least a nickle
This is Gods law
when you are fragile
and 16
