Pressure

Pressure

A Poem by Tim McGovern

All my diamonds
revert back to carbon,
under the pressure of my expectations.

It still surprises me after all these years.
even though I have a chest full of charcoal.

Oh my, gives me a prickly sensation - your words.
They are so real. Descriptive.
Depressing.
Nice work.
