Unbowed, Unbent

Unbowed, Unbent

A Poem by Tim Edwards
"

I only write this part so you can't see the beginning of the poem.

"
As you feed upon the
lower class lament.
Stealing from the poor
to fill the rich's content.
We are the unbowed, the unbent.
The unbroken's ascent.

A decision,
As precise as a
surgical incision.
To create a world
for everyone to live in.
Tonight is the night
Tonight is revolution.
They can take our sight
But never our vision

We've thrown ourselves down to the flagstones.
We shine anew in old eyes.
A shadow casts upon the broken bones,
before the light of a thousand suns breaks the sky.

Today, we'll be free.
Lay to rest
this foul deed.
Return the worlds faith in mankind.
To dare, there is no need
Come away
With our slate clean
Stand up and break away
these binds.

The meek will inherit, the crown will descend.
A new world with it, the tyrants time will end.

   Tyrannis declinis ea proxime
