SelflessA Poem by Lauren_Jane_96a selfless mother bird, trying to keep her babies alive through the cold winter.
The mother bird flew
down to her baby birds, on a cold, winters eve, Bringing what food she could find, through the icy winds and the wet, heartless snow. She feed her babies, making sure they were satisfied, before she catered for herself. She searched through the night, hoping to find something, anything. However, she found nothing. The snow had buried her life source, the beautiful food she longed for. She called out to the night, hoping someone could hear her. No reply was heard. She called again, with all her might. Silence. She decided she shall go home and try again tomorrow. As long as her babies were fed, she was happy. Then it hit her. Where was she? The snow fuzzed her delicate vision, Her feathers her only warmth. She had to stay put the night, and hope for the best for tomorrow.
