Poem about a John Doe

"

Oh Dee why couldn't you see?

Why was Edward Kelly your eyes and ears?

This is what I most fear to knock on heaven's door and be deaf and blind.

No glorious splendor to see.
Left outside.

Looking trough fogged windows.
Inside all heat and mystery.

Dee did not choose well his "eyes and ears"--Kelly being an ear-less medium convicted of some form of forgery.
Among many other things these men attempted, communicating with "angels" may have been the most hazardous.
Intriguing bit of work, DV!
