Who Am I and Why do I writeA Story by TigerSpiritThis was a challenge for a local writer's group. So thought I'd share it here alsoWho am I and why do I write? I want to show the world through my eyes, my heart, and my mind. The love that I have for animals, the ache that I feel for the silent sufferers around the world, from the dogs beaten in China to the bears, tigers, rhinos, elephants and apes (to name a few) being poached for their body parts. I want to share my dreams with the world, the adventures that I experience from dusk to dawn when I close my eyes or the silly thoughts that play themselves out in my mind when I envision an alternate scene to the one that my eyes have just witnessed. I write to clear the thoughts of my mind and to empty the well of tears that fill my heart to overflowing every time I’m in turmoil over something in my life, whether it be the loss of a much loved furbaby or the intense dramas that play out around me amongst both friends and enemies. Why I write? Because ink looks best on paper and the flow of the pen as it caresses the page with its delicate ballet creates a soothing feeling to the bearer who touches both, with his hand and his mind. The stroke of the fingers as they touch the keys to the tap tap tapping of a tune bearing the creation of a new life borne to the mind of a reader, as a witness to the birth of a story laid before their eyes. Who am I? I’m the bearer of the imaginative stored within my mind waiting to be released when the time is right and why do I write? I write because I can. © 2016 TigerSpiritAuthor's Note
