Slippery SlideA Poem by TigerSpiritJust thoughts on life..Life is like a child’s slide No safety and nowhere to hide A basic novelty when life begins A simple ride that brings many grins But as life goes on, we all soon see As years continue, speed becomes the key In the later months, we trudge up the ladder Once we’re up the top we feel much bolder Then Christmas passes and we’re on the way down We’re soon at the bottom drawing a frown Where has the year gone, July now here We’re drawn back to the ladder for some Christmas cheer And so life goes on with the long climbs to the top Only to aim for that next quick drop Each year our slides get faster and faster Until the ride gets weaker and weaker. Then one day we’re at the end Taking a ride to our final descend Do we choose to start this ride again From days of novelty until the end Perhaps by then, we’ll finally know Perhaps by then, our spirits will grow. © 2016 TigerSpiritAuthor's Note
