Family Ties

Family Ties

A Poem by MoonTig3r

Felt up by hands that I thought gave security

Lick and nipped by lips so familiar and wrong

Caressed by a sinner, the preacher

Sitting in a basement that belongs to a love one

Laying on a bed with a member of blood

Watching things eyes so young shouldn’t see

“Tell family if something happens to you”

Guess I told the wrong one

Humor me karma.

Loving a face similar to my betrayers

Giving my all to another blood tie

In a bad tree line

Seeing my tormenters in face just like theirs

Except actions so different

“Like father, Like son”
