Love Game

Love Game

A Poem by MoonTig3r
"

we all have to play it at some point.

"

See love is a game

A game where there should be no winning

Or losing but, a tie

You have your playing piece

“The lock”

And your opponent has

“The key”

You start off with a board

A board with a million spaces

You roll the dice

Praying you roll double hearts

Because 1 heart wouldn’t be love

Now would it?

You land on “heartbreak” railroad

Now the other person’s turn

 “Cupid’s blvd” has been bought

You pass 2 years around the block

Somehow you both

End up in “love lockup”

You play the “hate you” card

Get out of lockup free

Now skip 3 spaces to end up

On “separation st”

Rent-$free

You quit the game.

A tense and almost pounding prose, a well written piece, well done

this feels very rushed and and kind of sparatic. you should flesh it out a little more. Create a more logical progression from starting to quiting. you might try making the game more of a background element or making the poem longer or picking a shorter game than monopoly. if i might make a suggestion : shoots and ladders.
