The Girl who cried Wolf

The Girl who cried Wolf

A Poem by Sara Grosso
"

This is how I view my life

"
i could not share my wealth
so i’ll share my sorrows

how silly

somewhere along the way
i chose to be the damsel in distress

i’ll never understand why

the bridges i’ve burned
the bridges i never crossed

i wanted my name to mean something
shout it from the rooftops

my word means nothing
and i’ve only felt like a lie

and now i am only

overwhelmed by

too much time

how will i ever break free

if my motivations aren’t real

i've welcomed being disheartened

and have the tendency to hide

it’s just easier to say

i’ve got a war in my mind

than

it’s easier not to try

That was very cool, a bit sad but I see a foundation being built that will hold all that you feel will bring you down. A very cool poem that I really enjoyed.
