The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by Tiffany

It sufficates me,

Choking me until I can barley breath.

It turns on me with the most devilish of intentions.

It hides my past, while destroying my future.

It brings me to my kness, while reveling my darkest secrets.

It is my destruction.

yet, it is my savior.

It hides my mistakes,

locks them away so no one can see.

It protects my heart from lies,

and covers my ears

from the dreadful sound of truth.

It alone holds the secrets to my own life.

Taunting me with the key.

Kudos! Nothing like the movie, which for some reason I was thinking of a crazy green mask... =O
Very well worded. I love the contradictions, those are always fun!
I can see very clearly what you are trying to make us see (at least I hope so and am not going crazy)
and that is masterful craft at work!
Good job!

Hun, this is really awesome! Your emotions come out strong and clear. Its almost hard to read you know? My favorite line:

"It protects my heart from lies, and covers my ears from the sound of truth."

The only thing is that it ends weird. I just think you need to reword the last line. Even despite that, it was amazing! :]
