Natural Hair

Natural Hair

A Poem by Tiffani Michelle
"

Finding beauty in everything...

"

Beads of blackness.

Kinks of thickness.

Locks of coarseness.

Intertwined ringlets

of ancestral manes.

Sun-dyed streaks

from Kalahari heat.

Decorated with beads.

Running through my fingertips.

Frizzy from the rain.

I love this poem for its self-affirmation, self-love, pride and self-esteem.

I love how the two stanzas are structured with the rhythm and rhyme schemes flowing smoothly.

WELL DONE
