A Life of Their OwnA Poem by Tiffani MichelleAbout arguing and what it does to relationships...Our issues refuse to die. They dance and prance around the room and sleep with me at night. It is then that I cry.
The pain constantly replays the same refrain again and again.
The melody of jealousy envelops me. The nonsensical fights are whimsical lullabies that allow the anger to stir long after the sun goes down.
My insecurities place themselves on shelves along with my necessities. They follow you in all you do and press fervently against your ecstasy.
Your inflexibility surrounds me defensively. I fight vigorously and cause its victory.
My emotion you constantly disregard is the intoxicating potion that slows my heart.
Our cosmic stars clash every time they pass by. Unable to align, they start a fire in the sky.
We breath its dust into our lungs and have no idea what we become.
