Broken Link [REVISED]

Broken Link [REVISED]

A Poem by Chip
"

A revised version of my poem "Broken Link", the stuff in italics is changed or new.

"

How the years have passed,

I went from first to last.

How the years have passed,

You rose from last to first.

The sweet times we shared,

How our friendship flared.

There were no bitter times forecast,

You and I had such a blast.

We laughed at our jokes,

But yet it was all a hoax.

We hung around like super glue,

But now for my good I eschew.

All good times come to an end,

Our friendship we cannot amend.

All bad times come to a split,

Your betrayal you will not admit.

Now you can’t hurt me,

I’ve thrown away the key.

Now my days are ace,

Because my soul you will not embrace.
