Love Near but Far

Love Near but Far

A Poem by Chip
"

hopefully the poem speaks for itself, but if you must have an explanation, its about a love that never will be. "

A picture hung upon the wall,
My heart lies within,
A picture of a man so dear,
My heart weeps.

Once a happy thought,
Is now a heavy burden,
A curse on my shoulders,
Weighing me down.

Now my heart’s a blast,
My soul is lost,
Searching in a circle,
For a love long lost.

If I had you,
I’d wrap myself around you,
Keep you safe on the dark nights,
And love you like never before.

For you are only one thing,
My rose.
