Climbing

Ever striving
Forever climbing
Higher heights
Keeping up the good fights
Unbreakable
Unstoppable
Many have tried
All have failed
Still I stand strong, stand firm
Having walked through the fire
Still burning is my desire
My ambition is undeniable
My appetite cannot be quenched
For even when forced into a trench
Still I strive
Ever climbing
Step by step
Hand over fist
Know this
I am not one to be dismissed
Every day is mine
Embrace and respect time
For only one thing is guaranteed
I will continue to succeed
Only time will tell
The stories of greatness
How great men rose and fell
Living in heaven
Only after escaping their hell
That cell
Or metaphorical prison
Hard choices, making decisions
Be great or suffocate
Stand by as a watcher, spectate
Or empower yourself and decide your fate
It’s never too late
Weight of the world on your shoulders
What doesn’t break you, makes you
It only makes you stronger
Climb higher, fight harder
Those that would challenge you
Are simply lambs to the slaughter
They know no better, therefore fail the test
Strive for greatness and nothing less
