Dawn Skies on My DeathbedA Poem by JoeOA walk right before daybreak inspired thisCracking world,
cackling words, all summations swirling about I follow the simple
man protocol: left foot write hand Yet beauty,
inescapable, somehow manages past my periphery Purple gold eyelids
awakened my crown majesty Birds, so delightful
in their aloofness Twiddle about,
enticing further a-way Trees of leaves,
conifer and cone Stoically scoff at my
goof troop incessance To be, to die in
fantasy One more lollipop
down the lane One more candyman Down the drain © 2017 JoeO |
