Catch Me if You Can

Catch Me if You Can

A Poem by Tatiana Lexia

I don't know who you are;
We've never even met.
But I'll tell you right now,
I'm going to make you sweat.

Try and catch me
All you want.
At every corner and turn,
Your mind I will taunt.

In the pulsing dark,
Amongst the bodies of sweat,
I'll keep my body near yours,
And we'll start a tiny bet.
When it's mentioned,
You'll draw near.
You'll think you've caught me;
Too bad you're wrong, dear.

In the end,  you may give up.
But that's the price you pay
For allowing yourself to get hurt
And have the final say.
