Product of Affection

Product of Affection

A Poem by Tatiana Lexia

A pleasant angel
And a lovely tease
Grew up as friends together.
Pulling on, into adventure,
With dirty, scabbed knees,
They press forth.

"Why do they stay
At each other's side?"
these women do wonder
As one is compared to thunder
And the other, cast aside,
Is far from lightening.

They weren't born, not yet,
When the story began
So many years ago.
In the dark moon's glow,
An affair in the night.
A slip of a word,
She now understands
The girl's fathers are the same man.
