W***e To Culture (horticulture)

W***e To Culture (horticulture)

A Poem by Thunderlyrics

Give me theatre!!

Give me the arts!!

I’ve gotta have

All the parts

It starts

As the lights dim…

Lone silhouette graces

The pages

Worn thin

Sucked in

To a saga

Mental diorama

From beginning

To end

Mind restless

Where’s

My next bliss

My guess is

Since I have

No preference

I’ll reference

…The streets…

In search of..

Knowledge, cause

I’m deplete

I need thoughts

To complete

Or I’ll just wander

In the blistering heat

For sucker…

For solace

I’d give it up

For all this

A Forrest

Of knowledge

A slave

To the rhythm

Going from paintings

To posters

But leaving if…

….Depth, isn’t in em….

Cataclysm

As I work my wares

I’ll share

If promises of

Enlightenment

Lay somewhere

Near

I’ll veer

To the left or

To the right

When the goal at hand

Is plainly

In sight

My plight

Will never waiver

On this quest

For nirvana

Gotta achieve next level

I just gotta

I’m on a…

….Mission….

And I’m listenin’

But it’s

Mental torture

Will I ever

Escape being

A W***e To Culture

There is nothing wrong with being a w***e for culture better than the other~ I miss living in a city where culture was thriving with young new innovating talents. University of the Arts, colleges just made for performers, museums and gallaries shows and plays. All of them were lovely for any evening or early saturday enjoyment. Wonderful write~

Nice double meaning- horticulture involving cultivation and subsequently blossoming fruit, leaves or flowers. And good artwork can indeed result in inner growth and cultivation. At times when I am thirsting for beauty, I will go to an art museum and as I soak it all in, I feel it filling an inner need that has been crying for attention. But i live in the country and I try to take in the beauty and art of nature as well, it satisfies something in my soul that a city cannot. Art is everywhere to the looking eye, not just at theaters and museums.....but in the crowded streets as well as a country lane. But the performing arts are special, when I see someone dance beautifully, with passion and grace, it moves me in a profound way. I can relate to this piece most definitely.
