Love lost...gained...and lost again

I remember me…

Remembering you

Like it was yesterday

Recanted each song played

My hips swayed

As I thought of the days

We used to lay...

 

I recalled me..

Calling to you

And you…

Acting aloof

It’s true, like…

You never knew

What we used to do

As if..without further ado

You forgot

Me and you

 

I remembered me

Giving up on love

Packed mental baggage

No grudge

To speak of

Thinking it were me

Who was not enough

Concluding it was you

Was just too tough

 

Now you

Recall to mind

As you stare

At my round behind

How you let..

Your feelings recline

When you could’ve been

Puttin’ in that over time..

To fain déjà vu

i can so relate to this poem, it is funny how those forget the reason why they fell in love or lust in the first place only to remember it after it is too late and you have moved on to something else. I love the parity in this one how now he has de ju vu while remembering all that he lost. Arent these great poems to write? Makes feel better reading it.
