MasqueradeA Poem by Thunderlyrics
And there you are looking stern
With your arms held Akimbo…
Taunting me with your manliness
Leaving my emotions in limbo
I tilt my head to quiet the butterflies
And lick my lips nervously
Your intense gaze traveling my neck…
Caressing each curve of my body
I feel much like an ocean liner
Full steam ahead out to sea
But your eyes laid anchor to my soul
And stilled my movements completely
And then just as suddenly..
Your guard began to drop
The desire you evoked from me
Caused my heart to nearly stop
As I backed against the wall
So unsure if my legs would be stable
I raised my hands to you in surrender
Beckoning you to come.. because I’m unable…
And there you came looking adorable
With a sly smile that reached your eyes
While peering into their depths
I was thoroughly hypnotized.
All that we held back forever..
Like frosted blankets freshly laid
You gently take charge of my very being
And ended this Masquerade…
