Westenra's LamentA Poem by JenThis is a kyrielle poem
Sleeping, I'm dreaming, hoping for you.
I rise in the dusk and see you come through my window. So beautiful, in you I delight like a lover, your kisses, like a viper, your bite. The next day I'm listless, for you I am waiting. Pining alone, at my window complaining, of how I can't see you in more than twilight. Like a lover, your kisses, like a viper, your bite. Now in darkness I wake, all daylight I shun. Midnight is noontime, the moonlight my sun. You took me in love, yet you gave me your plight, like a lover, your kisses, like a viper, your bite. Do not forget me so quickly, my sweet, and my racing breath as my heart skipped a beat. You loved me so fully and left in the night. Now, as a lover I'll kiss, as a viper, I'll bite. © 2009 JenReviews
