The SearchA Poem by CrifaChanging all that I know about me, Starting over my search of who to be, I leave the past behind without a glance, And put an end to my childish trance.
Old fantasies and beliefs jumbled, A new person formed like a puzzle. Bitter-sweet it is tossing memories, Change is good, yet some I'm missing.
A mere rough draft is what was of this man, A boy half drawn, still colorless and bland. Now this bright future is starting to form, A spark finally catching to a fire so warm.
Finding the things that make this heart complete, It's a difficult search inside finding what's concrete. The hardest search of a life that is to unfold, Are the desires of the soul that would rather go untold. © 2014 Crifa |
