Mirror

A Poem by Crifa

Disgusting, repulsing; Evil and insane.
Skin crawling and hairs a prickle,
Looking upon a demon slain.
Blood at the soles with a drip and a trickle

Splash on shards, cracked at the frame,
Reflections of what was and now,
To be forgotten and hidden in shame.
An old that brought this self-destructive vow

A vow--to give in; A vow--to change,
This vow to be ridden of pain and sin,
A shard is lifted, a knife of strange,
A knife that the killer lurks within.

Picking up the broken glass of the reflection I hate,
I cut what is, destroying what was, ending my fate.
