A Chapter by Kasey Bassett

Would you give up a child? today I saw how cruel mothers, or fathers, could be to their children if they are disabled. what monstrosity are we? when will we see that a human being is a human being? whether by divine creation or the evolution of man, no one should deny the beauty of a child. a beautiful baby boy, and what say perfection? who are you to rape this child of his life, because you were "cheated". My ability to care is muffled by the screams of a 7 year old boy who just wants to communicate with his mother. I suppose I find it humorous I used the term "Mother" (Mother; A person who provides the care and affection normally associated with a female parent) Mother? maybe I give too much respect.
This is what my eyes saw today.

That anyone could mistreat flesh of their flesh is a wonder, and the truth of your writing is undeniable. The use of defining 'Mother' really solidifies how horrid it is when mothers don't live up to it.
