Anxiety Alien

Anxiety Alien

A Poem by Deanna
"

Tell me something.

"

In a square room

My arms hug tight around me

Strangling

The meds have worn off

Just as they should

My once clear breathing

Is nothing now but acid coughs

Such an anxiety alien

Heart pounding in my chest

I don’t know where I am

But there’s no one left

I am an anxiety alien

Stuck in a place I don’t fit in

But the panics continue

To rip me apart

When the ship will take me away

I wish I knew

Anxiety alien
