Story of a Slave

Story of a Slave

A Poem by ThoseThreeWords
"

This poem is about a girl who has been captured and no matter what cannot escape the life that she must live. When she eventually does escape she seeks revenge.

"
The wings,
The shadows,
The nightmares,
They surround all…

A castle sits far beyond a sea of loneliness,
Soft cries in the night are the only reminder,
Of the dark secrets that lie within.
A young slave,
She fights for her life,
She fights all day…

She fights all night,
The winners prize,
She can’t escape her demons,
They torture her,
They torment her,
They break her till she’s can’t fight any more.

Down breaks upon the horizon,
They find her there,
In a bed of black roses,
Green eyes dull,
Heart beat slow.

She fights all night,
The winners prize,
She can’t escape her demons,
They torture her,
They torment her,
They break her till she’s can’t fight any more

The darkness covers all,
As one lonely angel sits on a wall,
Black wings cover her back,
Green eyes seek payback.

Mm. Good. You could turn it into a story, if you wish. Did the girl die, or is this another reference to abuse?
